TheTOEFL ITP tests measure the English-language proficiency of individuals who are non-native speakers of English. They can be used to identify students' current levels of proficiency, to evaluate progress at the end of a course, for placement in a program of study, for screening for scholarship programs, or to complete a graduation reguirement.
ITP tests cannot be used as a substitute for the actual TOEFL* test. ITP test scores are to be used only by the administering institution.
It will be helpful for you to review what you have learned by using the Practice Tests in this kit. Your scores will help you identify areas where you need improvement. This will also help you know what to expect when you take an ITP test.
There are no passing or failing scores set by ETSforTOEFL ITP tests -each institution decides what scores are acceptable for its purposes.
